Belts Collection

I have made a wide variety of belts from simple hide with brass fittings to “fancy” affairs with antique silver fittings.

The first belt is made with an enamelled buckle of a Holden car, purchased years ago in Australia.  The second is with antique Sterling silver with blue cloisonné enamel buckle and buttons from 1909.

I am happy to suggest ideas for belt design but I am also happy to use a buckle that you provide (whether vintage or modern) to make a new belt.  Please bear in mind that 1” (2.5 cm) wide belts are the easiest to wear.  Not all trousers have belt loops large enough to easily accommodate 1.5” of larger widths of belt.  Lengths of belt will naturally depend on waist size but also on how the belt is going to be worn.  Ladies sometimes wear decorative belts slung at an angle from hip to waist.
