I have made many hide boxes, often with a leather hinge and lined with calf or suede.  The watch box in the first three photos is an example as it is today, more than two decades after it was made.   It was given as a gift to a colleague who kindly sent the pictures.

The image of a box and bracelet was a cooperative creative project.  The engraving of the silver bracelet was designed by one of my partners in dental practice and made by a friend of a friend.  The velvet bag was sewn by my mother and I made the padded hide box lined with suede.  In 1996 it was given as a gift to a highly respected member of staff who was leaving to start a family.
