Watch Straps Collection

Every watch strap I make is essentially a custom item.  Each is specific to the dimensions of the watch and of the buckle.

Some watches have a “quick change mechanism” which may be of the screw or sprung button design.  These encourage the use of multiple straps.  Others are permanently “sewn in” and many have a spring bar to retain the strap.

Watch strap sizes are designated by 2 numbers; the first is the width of the strap in mm at the lugs and the second is the width in mm of the buckle.  Some straps are parallel sided (eg 24/24) and this is common on 'Sports' style watches.  Tapered straps (eg 24/20) tend to be more elegant and are found on 'dress' watches.

Choice of leather is a matter of personal taste and I have made straps from calf, hide, suede, recycled leather and exotic skins in a wide range of colours from black to electric blue and royal purple.  I have yet to make one in orange or bubblegum pink but that might be exactly to your taste.

Vintage watches usually look best in the classic colours of tan, brown or black with the buckle metal colour matching the body of the watch.  It is however your watch, so the choice is definitely yours.  I just might be the only person you know who likes to wear a watch strap colour matched to my socks, shoe laces and card wallet.

The process works best if I can borrow the watch while I make the strap.  If you cannot provide the buckle we can source one.  Original manufacturer buckles are sometimes available and these may be brand new or “previously enjoyed”.  The latter are definitely best provided by you to make certain that you get exactly what you want and that it is the genuine article.
